Woloyem. A learning and commerce platform in progress.

An agreed customer project combining a custom MedusaJS experience, Open edX and Harmony deployment in Kubernetes.

Customer project - ongoing development

September 2026 - ongoingStart estimated from source history. Development and staging are active; production migration is not complete.

The agreed direction

We are working with Woloyem on a custom MedusaJS and Open edX solution. Commerce and the learning environment are being connected as parts of one customer journey. The project is ongoing development under an agreed engagement.

Three connected engineering streams

The work includes the MedusaJS application, an in-house Open edX integration plugin and a custom Open edX theme. Harmony-based Kubernetes deployment connects these source projects to the learning platform environment. Each stream has its own release and validation work.

What the diary records

The diary summarises selected verified milestones from our engineering history. Source merges, staging deployments and completed end-to-end acceptance are different states. We publish progress without treating a theme release as proof that the complete production learning and commerce lifecycle is finished.

Commerce + learning

MedusaJS commerce and Open edX learning connected as one journey.

Three streams

Application, integration plugin and custom theme each with own releases.

Verified progress

A diary of reviewed milestones instead of unverified claims.

Development diary

Evidence reviewed on 24 October 2026. These milestones describe development and staging work, not a completed production migration.

  1. Commerce storefront work reaches staging

The MedusaJS storefront received commerce-quality and catalogue-completeness work in the staging delivery stream. This records engineering progress; the production migration remained pending.

  2. Open edX theme integration and responsive refinement

Theme and Harmony deployment work addressed navigation, discussion styling and the delivery of brand assets. Package changes and runtime checks were tracked separately.

  3. Theme 0.1.16 and acceptance evidence

The Open edX theme release and Harmony integration included dark-mode form-helper contrast work and recorded acceptance evidence. The project remains in active development with remaining acceptance work.
